Giovani Bernard, Andre Smith and Leon Hall miss Bengals practice

Jeremy Hill is probably going to start vs. the Browns with Giovani Bernard likely sitting out with a long break until the Bengals' next game 10 days later.

The Cincinnati Bengals changed up their practice schedule with a date with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football on deck.

After practicing Monday night, the Bengals were back on the field Tuesday morning, but running back Giovani Bernard was not. As he continues to battle hip and shoulder injuries, Bernard has now missed five consecutive practices in addition to Week 9 vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jeremy Hill is going to start Thursday with Bernard likely sitting out with a long break until Cincinnati's next game 10 days later.

Also sitting out Tuesday was cornerback Leon Hall (concussion), linebacker Vontaze Burfict (knee), linebacker Rey Maualuga (hamstring) and right tackle Andre Smith (ankle). None of those guys look likely to play Thursday.

Smith would be the biggest loss, as he's been one of the best right tackles in football over the past three seasons. Marshall Newhouse was in at RT during Monday and Tuesday's practices.

Hall will also be a tough loss, as he was expected to go against receiver Andrew Hawkins in one of the better slot battles you'll see.

Tight end Jermaine Gresham was also sitting out Tuesday's practice, but after not showing up on the injury report on Monday, it could be just a veteran's rest day.
