The Cleveland Browns take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football to kick off NFL Week 10. This game will be full of intriguing fantasy football plays with both defenses struggling mightily to this point.
In fact, don't look to play either of these defenses this week. Both units are without several starters, as the Bengals are without Vontaze Burfict, Leon Hall and Rey Maualuga. That's helped lead to their defense allowing the most points to opposing running backs over the past three weeks, and the 10th-most points to quarterbacks over the past five weeks.
That means Browns RBs Terrance West and Ben Tate are both worthy plays this week, as is QB Brian Hoyer. The same cannot be said however for Bengals QB Andy Dalton. The Browns are allowing the 8th-fewest points to QBs over the past three weeks, and Dalton has thrown six interceptions in his past three games vs. Cleveland. Dalton has averaged 227 yards, two scores and two picks in those games, so depending on how much your league penalties teams for turnovers could also factor in here.
RB Jeremy Hill may be the safest play for Cincinnati in this matchup, but even he's going against a Browns defense surrendering the 8th-fewest points to RBs over the past five weeks. Receiver A.J. Green is still battling a toe injury, and Browns cornerback Joe Haden has routinely shut him down throughout their NFL careers. Mohamed Sanu may actually be the safer WR play.
With all of that said, here's what the SB Nation crew had to say about this game:
