When it rains, it pours in biblical proportions, at least on the Bengals injury front. After a demoralizing loss to the Browns in primetime, one of the few glimmers of hope was the potential return of several injured Bengals.
Don't expect tight end Tyler Eifert to be among them, as Marvin Lewis noted in his Friday meeting with the media.
Marvin Lewis says there is a chance Tyler Eifert won't be back this year.

Eifert was injured in Week 1 after hauling in the 14-yard reception with 3:41 remaining in the first quarter. Eifert laid on the field in obvious pain, and left with what turned out to be a dislocated elbow. He would finish the game with three receptions for 37 yards (which was third-most on the team).
His original timeline for recovery was 4-6 weeks, but the Bengals sent him to short-term I.R. to give him eight weeks to heal. This was supposed to be a breakout year for Eifert, but it looks like it's becoming a lost season.
