It's the season of giving and ESPN and Disney are trying to make the holidays a little more special for Leah Still, who has had a rough year battling Neuroblastoma, a rare form of pediatric cancer. Leah was diagnosed in June of this year and with support coming from all over the world, she has been battling the disease ever since. Bengals defensive tackle, Devon Still shared photos on Instagram of his daughter Leah visiting Disney World, saying it made one of her "Christmas wishes come true."
Leah also got to dress up like a princess for the occasion, wearing an Elsa costume from the Disney hit, Frozen.
Michelle Beisner, an ESPN feature reporter, was also part of making Leah's Christmas wish come true. She posted this photo and thoughtful caption after meeting Leah:
Let me tell you something people.....In a span of just a couple hours, I have NEVER been so profoundly touched by someone's soul. Leah Still, daughter of @bengals DT @man_of_still75 is quite possibly the brightest shining star I have ever met. You would never know she's battling for her life. This precious little angel is a BIG package of fabulousness - smart, sweet, sassy, and oh so stylish in her holiday dress. And let me tell you something else......the bond and love that Leah and her Dad Devon share, is beyond special. It's inspiring. There were moments while watching the two of them interact, that literally took my breathe away. They are truly best friends, and being able to witness that, is something I'll never forget. Thank you @man_of_still75 for letting me into your lives. For trusting me to tell your story. I will forever be grateful!! And my God, what a gift to have met Leah, and now call her my friend. I cannot wait to see her again so we can check the following off our list of things to do: #RedLobster #Nailsdid #PretzelsWithCheesePlease #MoreSelfies - Oh, and of course - photo credit goes to the "Selfie Queen" Leah Still. Until next time Baby Girl. #BeautyOutshinesPain #PrayersForLeah
It's nice to see Leah having a good time after the hard times she's gone through this year.
