A.J. Green misses practice; Margus Hunt, Jermaine Gresham return

The Bengals had several players return from injury Thursday in their first of three practices before facing the Broncos.

The Bengals finally have defensive end Margus Hunt back on a practice field. After not practicing for the past month due to suffering an ankle injury in Week 11, Hunt appears to have recovered from his ankle injury enough that he could suit up against Denver.

He was able to do conditioning on the side during practice last week leading up to the Browns game, so Hunt appears ready to return. The Bengals are still waiting for the second-year DE to make the impact they believe he's capable of making.

Wide receiver A.J. Green was held out Thursday because of an illness. Given that the game is on Monday, one would assume that Green will be better in time for the contest. We'll have to see how the injury report plays out through the week though.

Also back on the field Thursday was tight end Jermaine Gresham. An injured toe caused him to miss Sunday vs. Cleveland and raised a lot of unnecessary controversy.

The Bengals had two linebackers go down against the Browns. Vincent Rey was eventually cleared but Emmanuel Lamur never returned with a hamstring. Rey was on the field Thursday, while Lamur was not, but did do some work on the side in cleats and sweats, alongside receiver James Wright, who has missed the past two games with a knee injury.
