A.J. Green and Andy Dalton miss Bengals practice

With A.J. Green on the mend, the Bengals are without their leading receiver with a date with the Steelers looming.

The Bengals hit the field on Christmas Eve for their first pre-Steelers practice, and as expected, All-Pro receiver A.J. Green was not on the field. Because he suffered a biceps injury Monday night that was enough to keep him out for much of the win over Denver, he wasn't expected to be in the practice field just two days later.

Green said that when he suffered the injury, his arm went numb to the point he was afraid he broke his arm. That fortunately wasn't the case, but it still is too early to say if he'll play Sunday in the AFC North Championship.

With him out most of Monday night, Brandon Tate and Dane Sanzenbacher played most of the game, so expect them to see a heavy dose of snaps vs. the Steelers.

As for quarterback Andy Dalton, he's under the weather and was sent home after showing up the practice facility.

Also out Wednesday was defensive end Wallace Gilberry and cornerback Terence Newman. It's unclear if they are dealing with an injury or if this was a veteran's rest day.

Linebacker Emmanuel Lamur was back on the field after missing the Broncos game. We practice last Saturday, so it looks like he'll go vs. the Steelers.
