The Cincinnati Bengals have placed wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher on season-ending injured reserve due to a concussion suffered Sunday against the Steelers.

With a free roster spot and in need of another wideout, the Bengals have signed Cobi Hamilton off the practice squad.

Hamilton (6-2, 197; Arkansas) is a first-year NFL player. A sixth-round Cincinnati draft choice in 2013, he spent last season on the Bengals practice squad. He played in all four Bengals 2014 preseason games, with eight receptions for 127 yards and one TD. He was waived by the Bengals on Aug. 30, signed to the Philadelphia practice squad on Sept. 10 and released from the Eagles practice squad on Oct. 6.

He was then brought back to the Bengals practice squad, where he's been for the past 2.5 months. Hopefully, Hamilton will be ready to answer the call if he's activated Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, especially if A.J. Green doesn't play.
