When the Bengals face the Steelers Sunday, they'll be without linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who the team ruled out on the final injury report. He and fellow backer Jayson DiManche were the only ones declared out for this game.
Defensive end Margus Hunt and wide receiver James Wright were listed as doubtful after neither practiced this week. Hunt is battling an ankle injury that forced him to be carted off to the locker room during a Week 11 win over the Saints. Wright sustained a knee injury during the Week 13 win at Tampa Bay.
Starting nose tackle Domata Peko is listed as questionable after getting in a full practice on Friday following DNPs on Wednesday and Thursday. He suffered a hyperextended elbow that forced him into street clothes and a sling during the second half of Sunday's win at Tampa.
Starting cornerback Adam Jones is probable to play after missing Wednesday's practice while undergoing the NFL's concussion protocol. It's not clear if he actually suffered a concussion during Sunday's game vs. Tampa, because if he did, this would be one of the quicker returns from one in recent memory. He was cleared to practice on Thursday, which would have been just four days after suffering the concussion.
All things considered, this is the healthiest the Bengals have been in awhile in terms of players not on I.R. recall (Tyler Eifert) and players looking doubtful to play again this year (Vontaze Burfict), to mention Andy Dalton and others seem to be over the illness that helped lead to one of the sloppier games they've played this year.
