NFL Week 15 Playoff Clinching Scenarios

To build off what Jason wrote this morning, there are five teams in the NFL that can clinch through various scenarios this weekend. Nope, sorry. The Bengals aren't one of them. Why would you want them to clinch this soon anyway? Wouldn't that make for a boring rest of the month? No? Yea, I don't buy that sh*t either.

Here's official NFL playoff clinching scenarios.

AFC

DENVER BRONCOS (At San Diego)

The Denver Broncos clinch the AFC West with:

1) A Broncos win or tie.

The Denver Broncos clinch a first-round bye with:

1) Broncos win + Colts loss + Bengals loss + Steelers loss or tie OR
2) Broncos win + Colts loss + Bengals loss + Broncos clinch strength of victory tiebreaker over the Steelers

The Denver Broncos clinch a playoff berth with:

1) Dolphins loss or tie + Texans loss or tie + Bengals loss + Steelers loss OR
2) Dolphins loss or tie + Texans loss or tie + Ravens loss + Browns loss or tie OR
3) Dolphins loss or tie + Texans loss or tie + Ravens loss + Steelers win

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (vs. Miami)

The New England Patriots clinch the AFC East with:

1) Patriots win or tie

The New England Patriots clinch a first-round bye with:

1) Patriots win + Colts loss + Steelers loss or tie + Bengals loss or tie OR
2) Patriots win + Colts loss + Steelers loss or tie + Broncos loss

The New England Patriots clinch a playoff berth with:

1) Bills loss or tie + Bengals loss + Steelers loss + Ravens loss + Texans loss or tie OR
2) Bills loss or tie + Bengals loss + Steelers loss + Chiefs loss or tie + Chargers loss OR
3) Bills loss or tie + Texans loss or tie + Chiefs loss or tie + Chargers loss + Ravens loss

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (vs. Houston)

The Indianapolis Colts clinch the AFC South with:

1) Colts win or tie

NFC

ARIZONA CARDINALS (at St. Louis)

The Arizona Cardinals clinch a playoff spot with:

1) Cardinals win + Cowboys/Eagles game does not end in a tie OR
2) Cardinals win + Lions loss + Cardinals clinch with strength of victory tiebreaker over the Packers OR
3) Cardinals win + Lions loss + Packers win or loss

GREEN BAY PACKERS (at Buffalo)

The Green Bay Packers clinch a playoff spot with:

1) Packers win + Cowboys loss + Packers clinch strength of victory tiebreaker over the Cowboys
