The Senior Bowl. The Scouting Combine. Neither of these would happen without one of the biggest events in a young man's life--namely the day that they sign with the college of their choosing. This specific day has become quite the spectacle over the past few years with many celebrating what's now known as National Signing Day. This year's top high school prospects will partake in this process on Wednesday.
The traditional college powerhouses seem to strike annual gold with National Signing Day when a high school senior decides to don their cap and school colors. Some youngsters have already made verbal selections, but for many top recruits this is the day that things become official.
Here are some of the top recruits to watch for on National Signing Day:
Malachi Dupre, wide receiver, John Curtis High School, LA
Adoree Jackson, cornerback, Junipero Serra High School, CA
Damian Prince, offensive lineman, Bishop McNamara High School, MD
Ermon Lane, wide receiver, Homestead High School, FL
Myles Autry, athlete, Norcross High School, GA
Andrew Williams, defensive tackle, McDonough Eagles Landing Christian, GA
Malik McDaniel, defensive end, Southfield High School, MI
The mothership at SB Nation did a nice write-up on these and many other top prospects in the country. The ESPN U channel will be covering National Signing Day with a 12-hour special on Wednesday.
