Cincinnati Bengals quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese attended North Dakota's Pro Day on Wednesday, observing 14 players that worked out in front representatives from nine teams.
Let's not be silly here. Zampese had one player in mind: North Dakota State quarterback Brock Jensen (6-foot-2, 225 pounds), who despite his successes, wasn't invited to the 2014 NFL Combine.
"I've been overlooked quite a bit, so, that’s kind of a familiar spot. I came out of high school the same way, overlooked by many colleges," said Jensen via the Post Crescent. "So it’s kind of the same experience at this next level. I know I could have done well and shined there, but I guess I just have to shine at my pro day instead."
During his Pro Day on Wednesday, Jensen generated 40-yard dash times of 4.77 and 4.70 with a 34-inch vertical, a 9-foot-2 broad jump, a shuttle run of 4.35 and a three-cone drill at 7.06.

Jensen, who was the starting quarterback for three straight Division 1 (FCS) Championship titles, became the winningest quarterback in FCS history this season. In addition to the domination within the FCS, Jensen was the quarterback during North Dakota State's 24-21 win in Kansas State last season
The Bison went right at Kansas State, pounding the ball on the ground for an 18-play, 80-yard drive and taking 8:30 off the clock in the final quarter. NDSU quarterback Brock Jensen capped off the drive with a 1-yard plunge with 28 seconds remaining.
In four seasons with the Bison (three-plus as a starter), Jensen completed 703 of 1,124 passes (62.5 percent), for 8,598 yards passing, 72 touchdowns and 21 picks. He also rushed for 1,240 yards and scored 35 rushing touchdowns. Combining his high school and college career, he's 73-7 as a starting quarterback.
ESPN views him as the 23rd-best quarterback in the 2014 NFL draft and will most likely go undrafted, which would actually be in Cincinnati's wheelhouse.
