No one can argue that Jim Irsay isn't one of the most dedicated owners in the NFL to producing a winning football team. He routinely takes a hands-on approach in free agency, the draft and ensuring his best players are happy to be with the Indianapolis Colts.
Some would say he acts like more of a fan than the leader of a professional organisation. When you get arrested for a DUI, that only reinforces the belief that he's more "fan" than "professional".
According to Bill McCleery of the Indianapolis Star, Irsay was charged with four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, after police found several prescription drugs in pill bottles in Irsay’s car:
Colts owner James Irsay faces four felony counts after being arrested Sunday night by Carmel police on preliminary charges of driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Irsay drove at a slow rate of speed, stopped in the roadway and failed to signal a turn before police stopped him, Lt. Joe Bickel of the Carmel Police Department said in a release.
"During the course of the investigation, Irsay subsequently failed several roadside field sobriety tests," Bickel said.In an inventory of Irsay's vehicle, "multiple prescription drugs were discovered in pill bottles," police said. "These Schedule IV prescription drugs were not associated with any prescription bottles found in the vehicle."

Irsay has had problems in the past with prescription painkillers, but it's unclear as to what the drugs found in his car were. The fact that he was driving under the influence of alcohol is bad enough.
