DeSean Jackson may be cut by Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are apparently more intent on moving DeSean Jackson off their roster than anyone could have realized. With rumors swirling of the team looking to trade him sooner rather than later, there are now multiple reports that the team could decide to cut him if no suitable trade offers are made.

DeSean Jackson may not be interested in taking a paycut, but he'll likely have no choice. Hard to imagine a team taking on that contract.

Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports reports the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are two teams having internal discussions about acquiring Jackson.

Jackson, who doesn't turn 28 until December, is due a massive $10.7 million in scheduled salary and bonuses this year, making any trade difficult. He did catch 82 passes last season for a career-high 1,332 yards, which was ninth in the NFL. Jackson also tied his career-high with nine touchdowns, while averaging 16.2 yards per reception.

Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly reports Jackson has simply "ruffled too many feathers" since Chip Kelly became the new head coach. That's led to the team wanting to trade him to whoever is willing to take on his contract and give them something in return for getting one of the game's most explosive receivers.

If he hits the open market though, every team has to at least consider adding him, though with his baggage, there may be a limited market for him.
