While the Bengals were in attendance for the major pro days conducted this past week -- including visits to Stanford, Missouri and Louisville -- they also managed to attend Middle Tennessee State's pro day.
There, cornerbacks Sammy Seamster ran in the 4.4 range unofficially in the 40-yard dash. Seamster also put up good numbers in the 225-pound bench press (15 reps), broad jump (10 feet, 4 inches) and vertical jump (35 inches).
"This is a day you wait for. I had fun," Seamster said. "Scouts were pulling at me left and right, and that’s exciting. I think a mixture of size and speed is what (the scouts) like the most about me."
Seamster registered 33 tackles, two fumble recoveries and one interception last season for the Blue Raiders, and is projected to go undrafted. Depending on if the Bengals are able to draft a cornerback early, Seamster could be someone they target as a priority free agent.
