Cincy Jungle Writer's Mock Draft: Buffalo Bills on the clock

Who will the Bills take with the 9th-overall pick?

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports

The latest edition of the Cincy Jungle Writer's Mock Draft is here. Be sure to keep up with all of the picks in a out stream page.

Next up are the Buffalo Bills, and they'll likely be looking to add another offensive weapon for E.J. Manuel to throw to.

Anthony: Bills take Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina

Buffalo needs as much help as it can get on offense to help out second year quarterback (and reason why they won't take a QB this year), E.J. Manuel. They have a couple of nice weapons at wide receiver and running back, but an athletic freak of a tight end like Ebron would make their offense scary.

They could look at offensive line, but with the two top tackles gone, the value isn't there. Secondary help at corner or safety could also be possibilities, but I think tight end is the pick.

Mickey: Bills take Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina

Buffalo is all about getting last years new QB E.J. Manuel weapons to succeed. Ebron fills a need at tight end and playing along side Mike Williams gives Manuel a lot of options in the passing game.

The athletic ability and speed of Ebron should translate well in the NFL and could give the Bills a big threat at the position. I could see the Bills looking to improve their line here, but with the top options gone they will grab the tight end that helps them now.

Jason Bills take Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina

The Bills desperately need and upgrade at right tackle, but tight end is enough of a need that they go with the best player available, who happens to be the draft's best TE prospect.

Scott Chandler is a no. 2 TE at best, and Tony Moeki now looks like a shell of himself. Ebron would pass both of them on the depth chart by the end of his rookie season, as he provides Manuel with a far-superior weapon at any point on the field.

Whether it's that critical 3rd-down you need to convert, or a jump-ball in the endzone, Ebron is one of the best playmakers of this draft class and could give the Bills a player capable of doing all of those things.

Having a solid TE will also aid in the development of Manuel in his second year in the NFL.
