Cincy Jungle Writer's Mock Draft: St. Louis Rams on the clock

Who will the Rams take with their second first-round pick?

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

The latest edition of the Cincy Jungle Writer's Mock Draft is here. Be sure to keep up with all of the picks in a out stream page.

Next up are the St. Louis Rams, who are on the clock for the second time in the first round.

Anthony: Rams take Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan

The Rams got their big-play wideout at No.6 in Mike Evans after trading with the Falcons and now they get more help for quarterback Sam Bradford. Though they re-signed Roger Saffold, there are concerns after a failed physical that negated a huge contract that he signed with the Raiders. Jake Long, a big free agent signing from a year ago, is also coming off of an injury.

Bradford himself has dealt with injuries over the course of his career and with an excellent receiver and solid offensive lineman in the first round, the hope is that he improves and stays healthy to prove that he is the franchise's guy. Lewan is athletic, but he still has that Michigan lineman nastiness in him and will be a great addition in St. Louis to a line that needs help.

Mickey: Rams take Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M

The Rams were able to get someone to protect Bradford with their first, first round pick. With the second they will get him a weapon in the best receiver on the board. Mike Evans is a big wide receiver who will use his size and strength to bully corners in coverage. He is a deep threat that doubles as a big target in the red zone. The Rams will love the production from Evans.

Jason: Rams take Ha'Sean "Ha Ha" Clinton-Dix

The Rams have a lot of promising players on their defense, but they must now find a safety to play center field in a defense that loves to blitz and leave their cornerbacks on an island. That's where having a solid FS comes into play, and arguably the best one in this year's draft is Alabama's Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

Clinton-Dix does everything you'd ask of a safety and then some. He's fast and can be utilized effectively on safety blitzes. He's also physical enough to play the run, but also posses the lateral quickness and straight-line speed to cover any part of the field.

In 11 games last year as a junior, Clinton-Dix finished fourth on the team in tackles with 46 and recorded two interceptions. He was a second-team All-American and first-team All-SEC pick. He could be the missing piece that makes this Rams defense elite.
