Report: NFL Draft Likely Leaving New York in 2015

The 2015 NFL draft will be in a city other than New York.

The NFL doesn't appear to be returning to Radio City Music Hall in 2015. Peter King of TheMMQB.com reports that it’s "likely" the draft is going to be held elsewhere in 2015, possibly in Chicago.

King also believes the draft will move back to it's normal date on the final weekend of April after it was moved up two weeks later this year. He does say that it's also possible that the draft also extends by one day, making it a 4-day event.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that the NFL’s owners aren't expected to make a decision about the timing and location of the 2015 draft when they convene on Tuesday in Atlanta.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, a decision is expected to be made by the end of summer, at the latest.  Possibly via a prime-time TV broadcast.

That last part was intended to be tongue-in-cheek.  But since the approach would put cash-in-pocket, it can’t be ruled out.

Only the NFL could hold a live TV show to reveal the location for it's draft. most of the other major sports leagues can barely get anyone to watch their drafts to begin with.

I'd be willing to be a theoretical "Draft Location Reveal" show would draw a bigger audience than the NBA or MLB Draft.
