The Pittsburgh Steelers will expand Heinz Field by adding 3,000 seats to the stadium.
"The Steelers announced Monday that they have reached agreement with the Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Alleghany County on plans for an expansion to Heinz Field. There will be approximately 3,000 new seats in the South Plaza of the stadium and team president Art Rooney II said in a statement that he hopes "we will be able to provide many of our Waiting List fans the opportunity to become season ticket holders."
Heinz Field will move up from 65,050 seating capacity to 68,050 and would become the No. 21 largest capacity in the NFL.
Baltimore Ravens offensive guard Kelechi Osemele looks back to normal after undergoing season-ending back surgery in November.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh sounded optimistic about Osemele after Saturday's minicamp practice.
"K.O. [Kelechi Osemele] looks good. He’s been out here; he’s been 100 percent in what we’ve been allowed to do so far. So, we have seen really no issues with him at all."
As for running back Bernard Pierce, who underwent rotator cuff surgery in January.
"He’s been allowed to move around a little bit, but we just can’t risk him falling on it right now and getting a setback. So, you’re probably looking at training camp for him, which shouldn’t be an issue as long as you don’t get a setback."
Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine insists the Browns' quarterback competition will be fair and balanced between Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer.
"I don't know if they're going to be sending each other Christmas cards anytime soon,'' Pettine said. "But they know they're both in it together and they're going to compete and I think they both feel comfortable that as a staff we're going to put the best quarterback (out there) that puts us in position to win games.''
With Hoyer recovering from a torn ACL and having minimal starting experience, Manziel will gave every chance to earn the starting job by the time Week 1 is here. The only thing that will hold Manziel back is Manziel.
