NFL Network Mock Daft: Clean Sweep for Bradley Roby to Bengals

It's no secret that the Cincinnati Bengals will target a cornerback early in this year's NFL draft, and that's the position likely to be drafted with the 24th-overall pick.

It just so happens that one of the top corner prospects in this draft class resides just a few hours north of Cincinnati in Ohio State's Bradley Roby.

Frequently this offseason, Roby has been mocked to the Bengals, almost to the point it seems like he's the favorite to be their first-round pick.

That trend continued with the NFL Network's  Daniel Jeremiah, Charles Davis and Bucky Brooks, all of whom mocked Roby to the Bengals in their most recent mock draft:

The Bengals can't continue to play with Adam Jones, Terence Newman and Dre Kirkpatrick manning the cornerback position against elite receivers. Roby would give the Bengals an athletic playmaker with outstanding ball skills. If he is locked in and focused, he could be a perennial Pro Bowler.

Roby has multiple off-the-field incidents that could ultimately knock him out of the first round, and the Bengals have made it no secret they're avoiding guys like Roby early in the draft from now on.

Just a few weeks ago, Roby was cited for operating a vehicle impaired, but he did later plead guilty on a lesser charge. On July 21, 2013, Roby was arrested for a Class-A misdemeanor for assault, but he was never convicted.

Ian Wharton of the Bleacher Report did a nice scouting report of Roby, at one point even comparing him to Baltimore Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb.
