The Seattle Seahawks signed All-Pro safety Earl Thomas to a long-term extension last week, and they've now locked up their All-Pro cornerback as well.
Richard Sherman will sign a new long-term deal expected to make him the highest-paid CB in the NFL:
New contract signed! Great moment for my family & foundation. #LOB #12s #Seahawks #Respect http://t.co/dVYWrRaYYq pic.twitter.com/85xhN9pyhG

Here's the contract details from Jason La Canfora:
The sides have been close for a while and the deal would easily exceed the $12 million per year Darrelle Revis now makes. That makes Sherman the highest paid corner in the league. The sides had long expected to get it done before the draft.
It's a four year extension and I'm still working on final numbers. An average of around $13.5M per season would not surprise me at all.
Sherman is one of the best in the game, and this extension is well deserved for the former fifth-round pick out of Stanford. His story only serves as a reminder of how every round in the upcoming NFL Draft is worth watching.
