The Dallas Cowboys are desperate after losing middle linebacker Sean Lee to a season-ending ACL tear last week. There aren't a lot of viable replacements for him on the free agent market.
Jonathan Vilma, Ernie Sims and Pat Angerer are the most notable names on market. Rookie Anthony Hitchens and second-year man DeVonte Hollloman been mentioned as a potential replacement as well.
Ed Werder of ESPN believes they could look to former Chicago Bears great Brian Urlacher:
Cowboys evaluating all options for replacing LB Sean Lee, including vets like Brian Urlacher and Jon Vilma. Will likely be 2-player platoon

Urlacher spent all of the 2013 season out of football and on the broadcast booth at FOX Sports. It seems crazy to think he's still able to play football out a level that would make him worthy of a 53-man roster.
Then again, the Cowboys did coax Jon Kitna out of retirement last season.
