The weekend is here, and with it we come another weekend closer to football.
Alas, baseball is on the docket for now, as the NCAA Baseball Tournament and MLB are on tap for today. The MLB Draft also continues today.
But the real event today is the Belmont Stakes, where California Chrome seeks to claim the illustrious Triple Crown. Only 11 horses have won the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes in the same year, but 12 horses since 1978 have captured the first two races, then failed to win the third and final race.
Chrome looks to avoid that and win today and become a legend in horse racing lore.
