The 2014 FIFA World Cup is sadly coming to a close. With the dead of summer in full effect, the World Cup has provided us with some great theater to fill our sports cravings.

But for the teams and the countries they represent in the world Cup, it means so much more to make it this far. The championship will game will feature Argentina going head-to-head against Germany in the World Cup Final at the Estádio Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Argentina enters the final of the World Cup tournament after defeating Netherlands 4-2 on penalty kicks after the game ended goalless on June 9 after extra time.

Germany  destroyed Brazil by 7-1 in the semifinals on July 8. The German side scored five goals in the first half against Brazil's goalie Júlio César. Germany will be looking to win their fourth World Cup title in team history, but also their first since 1990, and their first as Germany (having previously won as West Germany).

Odds

Sportsbooks monitored by Oddsshark.com had World Cup betting odds for the final with Germany at +120, Argentina at +240 and a draw line of +230.

Lionel Messi is the third betting choice to win the Golden Boot

Paddy Power and Ladbrokes give Germany 8/11 odds to win the World Cup, and Argentina 11/10.

Both Bet365 and Sky Bet give Germany 4/6 odds to win, and Argentina 5/4 and 6/5 odds respectively.
