Madden NFL 15: Top Quarterback and Running back Ratings

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

With the opening of NFL training camps, that means the release of the annual Madden video game will be coming soon. This year's version, Madden NFL 15, will soon be hitting store shelves, and the guys at EA are releasing the rating for the top-5 players at every position.

Here's a look at the quarterbacks and running backs.

1.PEYTON MANNING

DENVER BRONCOS

98 OVR

2. AARON RODGERS

GREEN BAY PACKERS

98 OVR

3. DREW BREES

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

96 OVR

4. RUSSELL WILSON

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

93 OVR

5. TOM BRADY

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

93 OVR

And the running backs:

1. ADRIAN PETERSON

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

98 OVR

2. LESEAN MCCOY

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

97 OVR

3. JAMAAL CHARLES

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

97 OVR

4. MATT FORTE

CHICAGO BEARS

95 OVR

5. MARSHAWN LYNCH

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

95 OVR

At quarterback, it's hard to argue with their top five, except for Russell Wilson. While he is the QB of the defending Super Bowl-champion Seahawks, it's hard to call him a top-5 QB at this point. Andrew Luck,  Ben Roethlisberger and even Philip Rives could make a legitimate case to be ahead of Wilson.

At running back, this is the top five most would pick. Lynch is in for a step back in 2014 due to his age and wear and tear, but until he does fall back, he should regarded as one of the five best RBs.

Adrian Peterson is still the league's best RB when healthy and has a decent supporting cast, so it's fair to have him at No. 1, though Jamaal Charles and LeSean McCoy had legitimate claims to the top spot after superb 2013 seasons.
