Leon Hall has Green Light to Practice when Bengals Training Camp Opens

The goal of Hall for the entire offseason has been for him to be on the field when Day 1 of camp opens.

The Bengals open their first training camp practice later today. When they do take to the field, Leon Hall will be among them.

That's right, the Pro Bowl corner has reached his goal of being ready to practice the first day of camp:

The goal of Hall for the entire offseason has been for him to be on the field when Day 1 of camp opens. The Pro Bowl cornerback suffered his second Achilles injury in three seasons midway through 2013, but was cleared to do football drills back in April.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis previously stated that he thought Hall be able to practice on Day 1, despite being placed on the Active Physically Unable to Perform list.

On Tuesday, Geoff Hobson and Paul Dehner speculated that Hall should be cleared at some point this week, and that Geno Atkins, who is expected to be ready for the regular season, should be close as well.

Hall and Atkins were among several players to be placed on the PUP list on Tuesday.

It's good to know one of the best players on the roster will be on the field today.
