The Bengals placed offensive guard Mike Pollak and Clint Boling the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list prior to the start of camp. Boling was activated on Day 1 and ran with the first-team offense at left guard.
Pollak was activated Day 2 and replaced Boling. Today, they're switching it up again, and now we know why.

It appears the Bengals are imply playing it safe with both of them. Boling is coming off a torn ACL, while Pollak suffered a knee injury during an offseason workout that's apparently not fully healed.
