As the Bengals continue negotiations to sign Andy Dalton and Vontaze Burfict to long-term deals, they may have just made their biggest signing of the offseason...from a food standpoint.
Papa John's Pizza Cincinnati today becomes the "Official Pizza of the Cincinnati Bengals." The pizza widely known for its "Better Ingredients" will now be the brand served at Paul Brown Stadium, and Bengals fans will be able to take advantage of giveaways during training camp and special discount offers all season.
"Papa John's has a strong partnership with the NFL at large, and we're excited to partner locally with a company so known for its product quality," said Katie Blackburn, Bengals executive vice-president. "Our agreement is tailored to benefit our fans beyond having Papa John's available at our games."
Those fan benefits will include:
*Papa John's representatives will attend today's 3 p.m. training camp practice to celebrate the new partnership, and free pizza will be available to fans in attendance, while supplies last.
*Papa John's will celebrate Bengals victories in 2014 with their "Bengals Win, You Win" program. On the day after any Bengals win, starting with the Aug. 7 preseason opener at Kansas City, all customers can receive 50 percent off regular menu prices for an entire online order by using the promo code BENGALS50. The program is back for its second season.
*Bengals Season Ticket Members will receive special discounts on online orders throughout the year.
*The first 1,000 fans at each of the Bengals two Family Day training camp practices (Aug. 2 and 9) will receive a gift card good for a free Papa John's pizza.
"The locally owned Papa John's restaurants are proud to be partnering with the Cincinnati Bengals," said Chip Phelps, Co-Op president of Papa John's Cincinnati. "We are excited to be the Official Pizza of the Bengals and look forward to a great relationship."
