When the Bengals hit the field Monday for Day 13 of training camp, the biggest news unfortunately wasn't about anything occurring on the field. The news was that Marvin Jones is out several weeks with what's being called a foot injury that led to a pin being inserted into his foot. That's bad, and probably means Jones will miss at least Week 1 vs. the Ravens.
Another key player out was starting right tackle Andre Smith. Though he was in attendance, Smith did so with sunglasses on after having been on concussion protocol for the last week. It doesn't look like his concussion is completely gone.
Defensive linemen Domata Peko and Wallace Gilberry weren't practicing for unknown reasons. It was more than likely a veteran's rest day. Backup quarterback Jason Campbell (bruised throwing arm) was also out for a second straight day after injuring his arm in Thursday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Also out was linebacker Sean Porter, who continues to be held out with an unknown injury. It's looking less and less likely he's on the 53-man roster come Week 1.
In more positive news, starting left tackle Andrew Whitworth was back and running with the first-team offense. He looked good, but still needs to get his conditioning up and plenty of reps in if he's going to play this week vs. the New York Jets.
Backup linebacker, J.K. Schaffer was also back on the field after going through the NFL concussion protocol. He's got to really step it up these next three weeks to earn a spot on the 53-man roster.
Andy Dalton had a good day (shocker), and it's good to know he's had such a great camp and one series vs. the Chiefs without some of his top targets from a year ago. Speaking of, Jermaine Gresham was back today running with the starters, and Dalton hit him running down the seam a few times for big plays. Having Gresham and Tyler Eifert is going to be key with Jones out for the time being.
There could be some receiver production from a non-receiver.
Interesting play in walkthroughs- Jeremy Hill and Gio Bernard both in backfield, Gio motions out wide

It's been known that Hue Jackson plans on using Giovani Bernard at receiver more this year. This sounds like a nice way to do so without having him initially line up at WR.
And as I was writing this, news of actor Robin Williams' death came out. He starred in many of my favorite childhood movies, and was truly was one of the best; he will be missed.
RIP Robin.
