The final Bengals training camp session began Thursday morning without Sean Porter (unknown), AJ McCarron (shoulder), Jason Campbell (throwing arm), Jermaine Gresham (back) Andrew Whitworth (day off), Tyler Eifert (shoulder) and Dre Kirkpatrick (hip).
It was a bit of a red flag for Eifert, who was also held out Wednesday, signaling that his shoulder injury is somewhat concerning. It's unclear as to whether it's the same shoulder that he dinged earlier in camp.
As for Kirkpatrick, this is the third straight practice he's missed. It's starting to look doubtful he plays Saturday vs. the New York Jets.
Players that returned after missing Wednesday's practice included Marshall Newhouse and Matt Scott. Newhouse missed with a sore shoulder, while Scott left in the middle of Wednesday's session with a shoulder injury as well.
That's good news for Scott, who figures to get the bulk of the QB snaps Saturday vs. the Jets with Campbell out and Tyler Wilson having less than a week of practice under his belt in Cincinnati.
