Following the Bengals' Week 2 preseason loss to the New York Jets, the team has waived offensive tackle Chandler Burden
He played college football not far from Cincinnati, as he suited up for the Kentucky Wildcats.
Burden, at 6'4" and 310 pounds, spent much of the 2013 NFL season on the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad. He spent six weeks on the PS before he was released Nov. 12. Burden was later re-signed to the PS in November, but was later waived again on May 28.
Burden originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Kentucky by the Tennessee Titans and was released prior to the 2012 season. He spent part of the 2012 season on the Miami Dolphins' practice squad. He was really just a camp body with the Bengals.
With the waiving of Burden, the Bengals now have Andrew Whitworth, Andre Smith, Marshall Newhouse, Tanner Hawkinson and Will Svitek at offensive tackle.
