When the Bengals were on the clock with their first pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, they had narrowed their pick down to a pair of All-America receivers.
Alabama's Julio Jones and Georgia's AJ Green were regarded as not only the two best receivers in that draft, but two of the best overall prospects. That belief has held true, though Jones is coming off a season-ending foot injury last year.
That didn't seem to bother him Saturday night vs. the Tennessee Titans. He caught a short pass from Matt Ryan, then made a mockery of Tennessee's secondary on his way to the endzone.
Jones saw his first game action since Oct. 7 of last year during the team's 32-7 preseason loss at Houston last Saturday. He played 19 snaps and caught two passes for 20 yards.
"It was good, man, just being back out there on the field,'' Jones said. "I'm still a little rusty, but that's what preseason is for -- to get back on the same page with Matt Ryan and making those plays.''
It's good to see the old Julio is still well and kicking. He's easily one of the best five receivers in the game when he's healthy.
Speaking of still kicking...
Devin Hester is alive and well in Atlanta. https://t.co/6vCwvKfpN2

Devin Hester is still ridiculous.
