Carson Palmer is the gift that keeps on giving, especially when it comes to his former team. When the Cincinnati Bengals originally traded him to the Oakland Raiders in 2011, they got a king's ransom in return in a first and second-round pick.
Now, hosting his former team for the first time, Palmer continues to give gifts. This one came on a pass that was either horribly thrown, or the receiver ran the wrong route.
Regardless, it ended in a pick-six.
It's nice to see the aging Newman make a big play, though it was practically made for him with how bad the pass and/or route run were.
It's also the only semblance of offense the Bengals have had in this game. The offense has been nonexistent to this point after playing red-hot through the first two preseason games.
Newman is also on e final year of his current deal with Cincinnati.
