Marvin Lewis isn't worried about Vontaze Burfict's hamstring

Burfict was pulled from the game after only one series when he suffered a hamstring injury against the Arizona Cardinals. Lewis believes that Burfict will be ready for the regular season opener.

Early on against the Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict was pulled from the game after only one series. Sitting on the bench with obvious discomfort, the third-year linebacker had suffered a hamstring injury.

Already dealing with a "stomach bug", its debateable if Burfict should have played such a meaningless game without having practiced all week. His body was probably weak, and that could have helped lead to his injury. Maybe he'll be able to play in two weeks, but how great will his impact be with a bum hamstring?

And that was the question Sunday night. How bad is the hamstring?

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis isn't worried, saying the Burfict will be able to play in the team's season opener in Baltimore. Yet... should we be worried that Lewis isn't?

When asked if Burfict would be available for the season opener in two weeks, Lewis simply said, "Yes."

Yep. I'm worried.
