The NFL preseason kicks off for all 32 clubs this week. Each team will play four preseason games over the next four weeks leading up to the start of the 2014 NFL regular season.
For the Cincinnati Bengals, they'll head to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs. For Marvin Lewis, it's just the start of what he believes will be the his toughest season yet as a head coach.
"I'd call this season the most challenging one in my 12 years here," said Lewis. "Our team is as talented as any we've had here, and expectations have never been higher. But we have a tough schedule, and we can take nothing for granted."
Like Cincinnati, Kansas City is coming off an 11-win regular season and a first-round playoff exit after going 2-14 in 2012. One of those losses came at the hands of the Bengals in KC. In the AFC West, going against the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers makes it quite challenging just to make it to the postseason.
With this being Week 1 of the preseason, don't expect to see the starters play more than a series or two. With the Bengals having to travel, they've already ruled several key players out of the contest.
