I expect the game on Sunday to have quite a bit of scoring. Both offenses seem to have the ability to move the football with ease and the weather looks to be perfect for a football game. So we turn our eyes to the all knowing Tecmo Super bowl for the official prediction of what is going to go down in the jungle on Sunday.
The Bengals start with the ball and are immediately stopped by the Falcons defense. Paul Worrilow comes up with a big sack to start the game.
A failed deep pass forces the Bengals to punt.
The Bengals defense also looks really good and back to back sacks from Vincent Rey and Vontaze Burfict put the Falcons in a hole.
An incompletion to a wide open receiver forces a punt from Atlanta.
At the end of one there is still no score.
The Bengals fail to do anything and punt the ball back to the Falcons.
Matt Ryan can't seem to figure out this Bengals defense and struggles to get the ball down field. Again, the Falcons drive ends in a punt.
Moving into the Falcons side of the field, Andy Dalton makes a mistake and turns the ball over with an interception.
At the half there is still no score.
Mike Nugent opens the second half kicking to the Falcons and once again, their offense fails to do much.
Then after a big Geno Atkins sack, on the next play Steven Jackson fumbles the football and it is scooped up by Leon Hall.
The Bengals are in business, great field position and Giovani Bernard makes the Falcons pay with a long touchdown run.
Matt Ryan still struggles to get any offense going on the next drive.
At the end of 3, the Bengals are on top 7 - 0.
A Geno Atkins sack forces yet another punt from the Falcons.
In an attempt to put the game away, Dalton finds A.J. Green deep for a huge gain. The next pass however is errant and the Falcons have the ball back.
The Falcons still cannot find an offense. Then Steven Jackson finds a crease for a huge gain.
With under a minute left in the game, the Falcons are getting desperate. 4th and 10, :08 seconds left in the game and about 45 yds to cover.
You have got to be kidding me. Last second desperation throw complete in the endzone to Julio Jones.
At the end of regulation the score is tied 7 - 7.
In overtime, the Bengals start with the ball. They proceed to run - run - pass their way right into a punt.
The Falcons, not seeming to want to win this game either throw an interception to the Bengals Terrence Newman.
With that time expires. Game over. Tie.
Trust me, it was as bad to watch as you can expect. Hopefully this is a Tecmo hiccup and the game in Sunday is a little more exciting.
