The Bengals and Falcons both squandered several opportunities to score in the first half, mainly due to Andy Dalton and Matt Ryan being unable to throw the ball accurately with winds blowing hard through Paul Brown Stadium.
The best pass of the game may have come from a wide receiver, as Mohamed Sanu took a pitch in the backfield in fired deep fro Brandon Tate, who was covered by two Falcons defenders, but that ball was placed into the absolute perfect spot for only him to haul it in.
Sanu has been involved in the Bengals offense through two games at a much higher rate than he was in 2013. The same can be said for Tate, who now has five catches for 59 yards in 2014 after catching just one pass for six yards in all of 2013.
Unfortunately, this play didn't lead to any points, and mike Nugent missed a field goal attempt three plays later.
