Leave it to Saturday Night Live to tackle the biggest issues plaguing the NFL.
The season premiere of SNL featured a "State of the NFL" address, with Kenan Thompson as Ray Lewis and Jay Pharoah as Shannon Sharpe.
The fact that ESPN continues to let Ray Lewis speak on these issues on its own is ridiculous.
That's not all. Another segment shows players from the Baltimore Ravens and Carolina Panthers introduce themselves by which crime they've committed.
The NFL has taken a beating this week, and it's probably not going to end anytime soon. Whether it's Comedy Central's South Park, or this latest spoof from SNL, the league and commissioner Roger Goodell just have to sit back and take their lumps.
Hopefully, they're doing so while working to correct the issues that have plagued them thus far. That said, there hasn't been much done to feel good about that happening soon enough.
