Ravens beat Panthers, but Steelers choke late lead vs. Buccaneers

The Pittsburgh Steelers did appear to have won the game after they stopped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the red zone.

The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers were both victorious on Sunday. That gave both teams their third win to equal the 3-0 Cincinnati Bengals who sit idle on their Bye Week.

The Steelers escaped the Buccaneers who had a chance to win it late, but blew it.

Check that. Pittsburgh choked the game away in epic fashion.

The Steelers did appear to have won the game after they stopped the Bucs in the red zone. That gave Pitt the ball with 1:40 left in the game, leading 24-20 with Tampa having just two timeouts.

However, conservative play calling (shocked face) forced Pitt to punt the ball with just under a minute left. A horrendous punt by Brad Wing (should have ran a fake) traveled just 29 yards, giving Tampa the ball at the the PIT-47.

Mike Glennon, starting his first NFL game of 2014, later hit Louis Murphy (the guy who's played for four different teams since 2011) for 41 yards down to the PIT 5.

Two plays later, Glennon hit Vincent Jackson (who I started in a DraftKings league) for the game-winning score.

Cincinnati didn't play today, but it sure feels like a Bengals win!

As for Baltimore, they dominated Carolina en route to a 38-10 win. The Panthers have now lost by a combined margin of 75-29 over the past two weeks against the Steelers and Ravens.

The jury is still out on Baltimore, but the Steelers look like pretenders. They have the benefit of an easy schedule that will keep them in contention for a playoffs spot.

That is, if they don't keep giving aways games like this.
