Week 4 NFL Power Rankings

My stab at ranking the 32 teams in the NFL after Week 4.

My top 4 team all had a by so there is no action there. However, based on some surprising results last weekend, there was some movement elsewhere in the rankings. An interesting matchup this weekend is the Broncos and the Cardinals. The winner of this game will be making a statement to the rest of the league. On to the rankings.

NFL Team Wins Losses Ties Rank Previous Rank Blurb
Cincinnati Bengals 3 0 0 1 1 Bring on the Patriots.
Seattle Seahawks 2 1 0 2 2 Bye Week
Denver Broncos 2 1 0 3 4 My number 3 and 4 teams meet up this week to help give some clarity here at the top.
Arizona Cardinals 3 0 0 4 5 A big opportunity to take that next step in Denver. If the Cardinals are for real then they can show it against one of the top teams.
San Diego Chargers 3 1 0 5 7 Philip Rivers is playing as good as or better than any quarterback in the league right now. The AFC West all of the sudden looks like an incredibly tough division.
Baltimore Ravens 3 1 0 6 8 There was your revenge game Steve Smith. The Ravens dismantled the Panthers and showed the AFC North as a two horse race.
Philadelphia Eagles 3 1 0 7 3 The Eagles showed up with no offense. Their defense scored three touchdowns and they still lost.
Detroit Lions 3 1 0 8 14 Topping the NFC North is deserved after a win on the road.
Dallas Cowboys 3 1 0 9 22 The Cowboys are winning with a strong run game. Tony Romo no longer has to throw the ball 60 times a game.
Indianapolis Colts 2 2 0 10 19 The Colts win the games they are supposed to convincingly. They need to put a game together against a quality opponent.
Kansas City Chiefs 2 2 0 11 24 The KC offense looked unstoppable last night. The defense also made the Patriots look silly.
San Francisco 49ers 2 2 0 12 13 The defense showed up at home to hold the Eagles offense to 0 points.
Green Bay Packers 2 2 0 13 17 Relax says Rodgers, and then he busts up the Bears.
Houston Texans 3 1 0 14 15 J.J. Watt gets more love than almost any player in the NFL. And he deserves it.
Atlanta Falcons 2 2 0 15 6 When I saw the line of 2 for this game I thought it was a lock for the Falcons. This team is a tough one to figure out.
Carolina Panthers 2 2 0 16 9 So maybe this defense is not what we thought is was. The Ravens had no problems scoring.
Pittsburgh Steelers 2 2 0 17 12 I have to admit, this one makes me laugh. Losing to the winless Buccaneers at home was bad, all the stupid penalties was worse.
New York Giants 2 2 0 18 27 The Giants looked better on Thursday but they still look like an average team.
New England Patriots 2 2 0 19 10 So, is it safe to say Tom Brady is on the backside of a great career? His team was bad, he was worse.
Buffalo Bills 2 2 0 20 11 A Kyle Orton sighting for Buffalo. I don't expect a bounce back against the Lions.
Chicago Bears 2 2 0 21 16 We learned the Bears secondary is awful. Not good when you play in a division with Rodgers and Stafford.
Miami Dolphins 2 2 0 22 20 They traveled across the pond to put the nail in the coffin of Dennis Allen.
Minnesota Vikings 2 2 0 23 26 Teddy Bridgewater looked as good as could be expected in his first start. I hope the ankle is ok.
New Orleans Saints 1 3 0 24 18 You will not be good in the NFL if you can't play on the road. Fantasy players everywhere are cursing their high Drew Brees pick.
New York Jets 1 3 0 25 23 JETS fans are a fickle f**king bunch. It's bad when your QB shows more fight with the fans than on the field.
Tennessee Titans 1 3 0 26 21 The Charlie Whitehurst experiment may not have favorable results.
Cleveland Browns 1 2 0 27 29 Bye Week
Washington Redskins 1 3 0 28 25 You remember all that talk about Kirk Cousins playing lights out and saving Washington? Well forget it.
St. Louis Rams 1 2 0 29 28 Bye Week
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1 3 0 30 31 Nice win on the road in Pittsburgh. Mike Glennon is playing pretty well at the quarterback position.
Oakland Raiders 0 4 0 31 30 Help Wanted: Preferably some coaching experience but not required.
Jacksonville Jaguars 0 4 0 32 32 It's pretty bad when you are referred to as the second bye week by your opponents.
