The Cincinnati Bengals will open the 2014 season on Sunday against the Ravens, but they may travel to Baltimore with just four healthy receivers.
It was a bit of a surprise Cincinnati chose to carry just six receivers on the initial 53-man roster, considering Marvin Jones is out for the first month with a foot injury. Adding to that ia James Wright's concussion he suffered in Week 3 of the preseason. That's kept him out of practice for the most part since then.
After not practicing Wednesday, Wright was a limited participant on Thursday, but worked without a helmet. He's likely out Sunday, leaving the Bengals with just four receivers.
The good news is Tyler Eifert will likely play after practicing both Wednesday and Thursday as he deals with a lingering shoulder injury also suffered this preseason. He'll probably spend a good amount of snaps lined up wide at receiver to help compensate for thew loss of Wright.
Dane Sanzenbacher and Brandon Tate will also get a good amount of snaps after combining for just seven catches for 67 yards in 2013.
