Vontaze Burfict and Tyler Eifert ruled OUT vs Ravens

It's too early to tell what the injury exactly was, but the Bengals are calling Burfict's injury a head injury and listing him 'out.'

Update: The Bengals will have to go the rest of the way vs. Baltimore without tight end Tyler Eifert (elbow) and linebacker Vontaze Burfict (head). Both players have been listed as 'out' after leaving the first half with separate injuries.

The Bengals defense was dominant for much of the first half of play vs. the Ravens, and linebacker Vontaze Burfict was a big reason why. His forced fumble of Bernard Pierce late in the second quarter allowed the Bengals to take a 15-0 lead, and looked to give them control of the game going into halftime.

That almost changed on the Ravens' final offensive possession, and it began when Burfict was forced from the game after injuring his head on a hit he put on Joe Flacco on a pass rush.

Burfict came unblocked right up the middle and hit Flacco as a he was releasing the ball for what should have been a 40+ yard pass play to Jacoby Jones, but Jones simply dropped the pass. Once the play ended, Burfict was slow to get up, then tried to walk it off towards the sideline, but then fell to the ground again as trainers attended to him .

It's too early to tell what the injury exactly was, but the Bengals are calling it a head injury and listing his return as 'questionable.'
