Del Rio has previously been a head coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he oversaw one of the most successful periods in that franchise's history. In nine seasons as a head coach, Del Rio went 68-71 with a pair of playoff appearances.
After being fired by the Jags, Del Rio became the DC for the Broncos, where he's overseen one of the best units in the league since 2011.
The Raiders are actually more attractive of a job than they've been for the past decade, and Del Rio could be walking into a favorable situation. believe they have a franchise quarterback in Derek Carr and a future star in pass rusher Khalil Mack.
