Cincinnati Bengals v Indianapolis Colts: Friday Practice Update

New, comments

Jermaine Gresham returned to practice on Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday with a back issue. James Wright is also out Friday and doesn't appear likely for Sunday's game against the Colts.

As we've already pointed out on Friday, Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green remains under concussion protocols and joined his teammates on the field wearing sweats. Green will finish the week having missed two practices and being limited on Thursday -- though that session in of itself was limited to a few stretches. Let's call it three missed practices and one accepted practice.

Tight end Jermaine Gresham returned on Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday. The fifth-year tight end suffered a back injury during a touchdown reception last week against the Steelers. Gresham, who has scored three touchdowns in three straight games (missed the second Cleveland game with a toe injury), has scored five touchdowns in the last six contests.

James Wright completed the trifecta on Friday, missing his third practice this week. Wright was a limited participant throughout the week against Pittsburgh and was listed as questionable. After posting a career-game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 13, Wright has gone on to miss the last four games with a knee injury.

Giving their players a little relief from the conditions and replicating what Cincinnati may experience at Lucas Oil Stadium, the Bengals spent their final session practicing inside the practice bubble at the University of Cincinnati.
