The Baltimore Ravens have found their next offensive coordinator, and it's former Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Trestman will replace Gary Kubiak, who left to become the head coach of the Denver Broncos earlier this week. He played a key role in helping the Ravens rebound from an 8-8 season in 2013 to go 11-7 in 2014, including a wild-card win at Pittsburgh vs. the Steelers.
Trestman faces a potentially challenging situation in Baltimore with impending free agents Torrey Smith, Justin Forsett and Owen Daniels potentially leaving. Still with Joe Flacco and a strong offensive line still there, he has a great foundation to build on.
Trestman went 13-19 over his first two seasons with no playoff appearances and a loaded offense with the likes of Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery, Martellus Bennett and Matt Forte. Trestman never seemed to find any consistency with quarterback Jay Cutler.
