Super Bowl 49 will feature two of the most successful franchises of the past decade when the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks face off. Since 2006, these two franchises have now combined for six Super Bowl appearances, and that's not even counting the Patriots' three championships from 2002-05.
From a betting perspective, there's some interesting player prop bets for the game. With QBs taking home the game MVP award in six of the past eight years, Seattle's Russell Wilson has the best odds of any Seattle player to take home the award at 7/2. New England's Tom Brady is the favorite at 9/5 after claiming the award twice already.
Other Super Bowl player props for Wilson include over/unders of 219.5 passing yards, 27.5 passing attempts, 17.5 completions, 1.5 touchdown passes, 42.5 rushing yards and 7.5 rushing attempts. He's arguably the hardest player in this game to guess stat lines for, as Wilson's dual-threat capabilities allow him to beat you in a multitude of ways.
For Brady, his passing yards over/under is 260.5 against a Seattle secondary that allowed just 186 yards per game. Brady topped that mark seven times in the regular season and once in the playoffs.
With that said, here's a look at the player prop bets for Super Bowl 49 and my prediction/pick for each one.
