Rey Maualuga has been declared out by the Bengals.
That may be the case after Rey Maualuga was forced from the game after suffering a hamstring injury in the second quarter. Following a pass to Dan Herron in the flat, Maualuga was among several defenders to swarm him before gaining five yards.
After the play, Maualuga immediately took him helmet off and got help from the training staff. He was then taken to the sideline before being carted back to the locker room. The team later announced his return was doubtful.
If Maualuga is out the rest of the game, that means more snaps for Nico Johnson and Marquis Flowers at linebacker. Both have had periods of significant snaps this season, and Flowers even got significant playing time in the Week 7 matchup with the Colts.
