Kyle worked as Mike Shanahan's offensive coordinator in Washington from 2010-2013. Prior to that, he was offensive coordinator for Houston in 2008 and 2009, following stints as their QB coach in 2007, and their WR coach in 2006. He's been a head-coaching candidate ever since leading the Browns to a resurgent 7-4 start before tailing off to end the year.
