After looking at the Week 4 results, I was saddened that I didn't fly to Vegas beforehand and rattle off a 10 game parlay on a $100 ticket and cash in. My counterparts probably felt the same as only one panelist got less than 10 games correct. Coincidentally, that panelist picked Cincinnati to lose. Even more coincidentally, Jason Marcum has once again picked Cincinnati to lose. He has only picked the Bengals to win once (Week 1) this year, so he is either just messing with us, playing the reverse jinx, or he is a closet Steelers fan.
As long as the Bengals keep winning, I don't really care. Those incorrect Bengals picks helped put me three games ahead of him, where he leads Mickey Mentzer who is in last place by one game, to whom the honor of having to shampoo Domata Peko's hair after every home game next year goes to.
This week, it's easy to tell that the growing sample size is shaping everyone's opinions in a similar way. All 11 staffers picked Buffalo, Atlanta, Indianapolis, San Diego, Green Bay, Arizona, and Seattle to win their respective games. The game we disagree the most on is Dallas at New Orleans, where seven staffers are riding with Brandon "Doopy Pantz" Weeden. The big question for this game is whether or not Drew Brees will play. Another question might be "Does it matter?" With the way New Orleans has been playing, that is a legitimate question, especially when you consider their home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Without further ado, here are our picks. Toss your picks in the comments section and see how we stack up!
