When Cincinnati lost wide receiver Marvin Jones before the regular season last year, they missed a significant weapon in Hue Jackson's arsenal. Jones made an obvious impact in 2013, generating 51 receptions, 712 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns. It was the first time in franchise history that two players scored double-digit touchdowns in the same season, joining A.J. Green who scored 11 times. Unfortunately, a pair of ankle and foot injuries, ended Jones' season in 2014 before it even started.
Dalton battled, arguably, his worst season while Jones, along with Tyler Eifert (who played eight snaps during regular season opener before a dislocated elbow ended his season), limited Cincinnati's available weapons. Now Dalton is enjoying his best season yet with help from Jones, who had a significant impact during Cincinnati's 34-21 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Coming out of halftime, Jones had only posted 22 yards on four receptions; his biggest play was a nine-yard reception converting a third-and-four into a first down with 4:14 remaining in the first; Jeremy Hill generated a 13-yard touchdown reception on the following play, tying the game 7-7.
Quarterback Andy Dalton (and presumably offensive coordinator Hue Jackson) adjusted. Dalton targeted Jones during his first three passes in the third quarter, completing passes of five and nine and overthrowing Jones on the third. Eventually, Dalton hooked up with Jones on four passes for 66 yards.
With 12:25 remaining in the third quarter, Dalton took the shotgun snap from the Bengals 42-yard line and heaved the football down the middle of the field. Double covered, yet unabated, Jones hauls in the football with impressive focus while engineering his body to position himself for the reception.

The reception moved Cincinnati to the Bills 10-yard line with 11:01 remaining in the third. Dalton takes the ensuing snap and flips the football to Jones, who follows navigates through the blocks set up by A.J. Green, Russell Bodine, Kevin Zeitler, before he somersaults his body into the endzone.
The touchdown gave Cincinnati a 24-14 lead with 11:01 remaining in the third quarter... and the Bengals never looked back.
Jones led the Bengals with 95 yards receiving and a career-high nine receptions.
