Week 11 Cincinnati Bengals vs Arizona Cardinals: Thursday official practice and injury report

Three Bengals went from limited participants on Wednesday to full participants on Thursday but three other players, including two starters didn't practice at all and one was a new addition to the injury report.

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

Thursday saw a few Bengals return to practice in a full capacity after being limited on Wednesday. Those players were starting defensive end Carlos Dunlap, starting right tackle Andre Smith and safety Shawn Williams. All of that is great news, especially for Smith who hasn't played in two weeks while recovering from a concussion suffered against the Steelers.

The bad news from Thursday is that cornerback Adam Jones continued to be held out of practice with a foot injury, though he did attend the session. Friday's practice will be more telling as to whether he'll play on Sunday. Additionally, defensive end Michael Johnson was added to the injury report with a back injury and was not in attendance at practice. It's never encouraging to see a player added to the injury report in the middle of the week and Johnson has been banged up quite a bit this season with a variety of injuries from an MCL sprain in the preseason, to a bone bruise suffered in Buffalo to now a back issue that held him out of practice today.

Interesting points of note from the Cardinals' injury report include the quick turnaround from a hospital visit on Sunday night to being a limited participant in practice today for starting left guard Mike Iupati. He will need to get cleared by an independent neurologist to play on Sunday. Wide receiver Michael Floyd didn't participate for the second day in a row but John Brown was limited after not participating yesterday and Larry Fitzgerald was a full participant after being limited yesterday. Guard Jonathan Cooper and defensive tackle Cory Redding both remained out of practice. Cooper is the Cardinals' starting right guard and Redding is listed on the depth chart as a second string defensive tackle. His stat sheet this year isn't particularly crowded, though he's recorded one interception this season.
